After his debut in 2006 Tin Vodopivec has lately become one of the hottest comedians in Slovenia. With his smart observational humor based on everyday life, he is popular among all generations.
With stand up comedy being well unknown and undeveloped in Slovenia, Tin has been one of the pioneers of the new wave, performing all over the country, even in places that haven’t seen a live comedy show yet. In two years Tin had more than 80 performances and was invited to all major festivals, among them being Lent, Trnfest, ŠpasFest, Bujta Repa, Filofest and even the Festival of Slovene film.
In September 2007 Tin was the first comedian to perform on a TV night show hosted by a controversial transvestite Marlenna, where he was re-invited later in December 2007. He also performed on a Sunday afternoon family show on Slovene national television.
In May 2008 he won the first Slovene comedy competition called Last comic standing and was announced as one of Slovene’s top comedians by Stop magazine.
He is currently finishing his last year at law faculty and preparing for his international debut, as he already has offers to perform abroad in English and Croatian. |
